Friendship
Having true friendships plays a very important role in all our lives, and I will go as far to say if we want our life to be meaningful, we need friends because they have a direct impact on our well-being and health. However, considering the horrific stories that we have heard about people being harmed while on vacation with others they were their friends, how do you identify a true friend these days?
The way to identify true friends is to first understand what it means to be a friend. The meaning of friendship has never changed, and just because you have hundreds or even thousands of people on your social media platforms does not mean you’re popular or even liked. Friendship is a beautiful bond that enriches our lives with love, trust, and companionship. It is a treasure that knows no boundaries and transcends the limitations of time and distance.
True friends are those rare gems who stand by us through thick and thin, offering unwavering support and understanding. They celebrate our joys, share our sorrows, and lend a listening ear when we need it the most. In the realm of friendship, we find solace, laughter, and a sense of belonging. Genuine friendships are built on mutual respect, honesty, and acceptance, allowing us to be our authentic selves without fear of judgment. They remind us that we are never alone, for in their presence, we discover the power of connection and the beauty of shared experiences.
A good friendship is about giving and taking, so one time we will be on the giving side, and the other times we will be on the receiving side. A true friend will pray for you and with you. If you don’t have that in your life then it’s time to reevaluate who you call your friend.
Thank you friends, you know who you are.
